Thermocouples
j
CyclopsEMX supports 8 EGT and 8 CHT probes. Note only 4 cylinders
are shown in the picutre.
Thermocouples
measure your cylinder and exhaust gas temperatures. All of your
cylinders are displayed in a full scale graph.
Alert levels are clearly marked along with the highest temperature
across all cylinders. Also the current highest reading is
highlighted.
Shock Cooling
See how quickly your cylinders are increasing and decreasing.
Avoid the dreaded shock cooling by setting your limit for your engine.
eg. i have my limit currently set at 60F per minute with a alert at
150F/min.
When letting down from a high altitude i can monitor the bar graph
and instantly see where I am in relation to my goal setting of
60F/min and the alert level of 150F/min.
Also...why not see how fast the cylinder is increasing in temperature...see the
increase represented by a number (in white) of how quickly the cylinder
heats up.
Leaning

Standard leaning procedure...looks for peak EGT and then you can run
lean (greater than the peak EGT) or rich (less than the peak EGT or an
increase of fuel to the engine eg. pushing the knob of the mixture
control in) of peak.

The amount rich or lean is displayed for easy
reference. Keep this display active while you are leaned out. |
